The offer is seen as competition for Safaricom’s free Mutatu Wifi initiative launched not long ago. The new promotion targets the early morning population of people trying to get to their places of work as well as schools and are stuck in the rush hour traffic. It will also be available for Facebook users on m.facebook.com. Airtel Money currently has more than 10,000 agents countrywide with the number expected to grow to 15,000 by the end of the year 2013. The new promotion targets the early morning population of people trying to get to their places of work as well as schools stuck in the rush hour traffic. Airtel aims to cater for a larger population countrywide with the morning offer and not only commuters during the rush hour. The mobile service provider intends to have more offers for its clients in the near future.
