Instead of replacing other means of transport it is more about moving hand-in-hand with them, like having a bike in the trunk of a car to provide sufficient range for local trips. Acton has come up with M Scooter, a crisply designed collapsible rider which has fold-down footrests and pop-up seats. Piloting is as easy as one would like. Even a small twist of the throttle shoots the scooter forward this degree of immediacy takes time to get used to. Similar is the situation with the brakes.
